Set within the shell of a former blacksmith studio in Sellia, southern Crete, this ground-floor apartment transforms a deep, low-lit space into a quiet domestic interior. Partial excavation and new openings bring light deeper into the plan, while white plaster surfaces create a calm envelope for a series of oak joinery elements. Acting as kitchen, storage, shelving, beds, and thresholds, these timber volumes organise movement and filter views through the apartment. Natural stone flooring anchors the interior, while the warm material palette gives the minimal composition a tactile, domestic character — an architecture of filtered light, quiet order, and material presence.
